In-Line Pigging Solutions Ltd. specializes in supporting and executing pipeline integrity management programs. Founded in 2003 with its head office located in Calgary, AB, In-Line started with 3 employees and has now grown to over 60 office and field employees. We have a highly trained workforce that is cross trained and located across Canada providing a local presence from coast to coast.
We are currently seeking a passionate, self-driven individual to fill the full-time position of HSE & QA/QC Administrator in our Calgary office.
The Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Administrator function will be responsible for the overall management of the In-Line Pigging Solutions Ltd.’s Health and Safety program. Duties and responsibilities include:
- Conduct regular safety inspections of the workplace to identify potential hazards and ensure that safety protocols are being followed;
- Responsible for training the Safety Orientation Program to all new employees;
- Communicate company metrics and safety information to clients as needed;
- Maintain records of Alcohol & Drug test results;
- Conduct incident investigations when required to identify and report root causes and implement corrective actions;
- Review existing documents, research best practices, and create new policies as needed to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations;
- Ensure that all employees have up-to-date safety certifications and are properly trained in safe work practices, including how to operate equipment, use PPE, and handle hazardous materials;
- The overall administration and compliance of the In-Line's Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policy;
- Lead annual maintenance and recertification safety audits for Certification of Recognition (COR);
- Assist with development of monthly safety meetings;
- Lead the Safety Committee and chair the meetings;
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training sessions, safety meetings, hazard assessments, and accidents/near misses;
- Ensure all Company and personal vehicles used for work purposes meet or exceed Company safety & maintenance standards and are serviced at appropriate intervals;
- And; Collaborate with management to identify areas where safety improvements can be made.
Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) Administrator job function will be responsible for ensuring that a company's products or services meet or exceed customer expectations and comply with industry standards and regulations. Duties and responsibilities include:
- And; Audit quality processes and follow up with corrective actions found during the audit.
- Maintain accurate records of quality inspections, testing results, and investigations into quality issues;
- Ensure all employees are properly trained in quality control procedures;
- Stay informed of changes to quality regulations and ensure that the company is in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations;
- Identify areas where quality improvements can be made and implement policies and procedures that further promote QA/QC throughout the organization;
- Develop, update, and implement QA/QC policies and procedures in order to meet company standards and customer expectations;
- Conduct investigations, in the event of a QA/QC issue, to determine the cause and identify ways to prevent similar issues from occurring in the future;
Position Requirements:
- Qualified to support internal COR audits is required;
- Individual must be solutions driven, energetic, positive, willing to take initiative, and be well-organized;
- And; Competent computer skills including Excel, Word, Power Point and email applications.
- Strong cross-collaboration skills to support leaders across the organization on successful achievement of strategic business goals;
- Proficient in managing pre-qualification registries (ISNetworld, Avetta, CQ Network, CanQual);
- Good interpersonal skills, verbal skills, thinking and problem-solving skills, and decision-making ability;
- Experience in coaching and developing employee’s knowledge and ability to deliver on QEHS expectations;
- Qualified Safety Representative (QSR) Designation or other regionally or nationally recognized safety certification (such as CRSP, NCSO, CHSO, CSO or other industry recognized safety designation) is preferred;
- 5-7 years of experience in Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental role, preferably in the oil and gas sector;
- A clean driver’s abstract is required;
- Possesses a continuous improvement and quality mindset and seeks to continuously improve processes and incorporate best practices where applicable;
- Possess the safety attitude to sustain the safety culture from the front line to the supervisors to management;
Hours for this position are primarily Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, but may be dictated by the specific project(s) you are working on. Duties and responsibilities will be carried out primarily in an office setting.
