POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the site HR Business Partner & Plant Manager, the HR Plant Coordinator is accountable for providing general human resources support as well as general administrative services within the plant.
You will be required to work onsite for this role (based out of the manufacturing facility in SE Calgary)
Duties & Responsibilities
Human Resources Administration:
- Track and coordinate training for production teams
- Coordinate local programs such as immunizations, safety shoes, and service award distribution.
- Coordinate and track 30/60/90-day Stay Interviews.
- Conduct and analyze exit interviews and manage the exit process
- Serve as the point of contact for local HR inquiries, including policy, pay, and benefits, directing employees as needed.
- Support hourly employee recruitment workflow and employee onboarding, including forwarding applications, coordinating interviews, and scheduling candidate testing.
- Maintain plant vacation and absence trackers.
- Manage employment-related documentation and file maintenance.
General Administration & HSE
- Support data entry and record keeping to meet with environmental and regulatory requirements, such as air emissions and waste management.
- Review daily hours in the Dayforce system and handle invoices.
- Manage office equipment and supplies procurement.
- Contact point for administrative tasks, including managing bulletin boards and corporate policy postings.
- Provide first-level customer service to plant visitors and handle mail.
- Create and maintain weekly PowerPoint presentations and monthly performance reports.
- Coordinate local functions and events and support with clerical tasks, report generation, and file maintenance.
- Generate and distribute Manufacturing packages to the shop floor.
- File QHSE documents and maintain on-site files.
Requirements
- Experience conducting investigations preferred
- Minimum of 2-3 years prior experience in a similar role or capacity.
- Understands urgency and demonstrated ability to act upon deadlines
- Previous experience in a manufacturing/ industrial background would be an asset.
- Previous recruitment coordination experience is required.
- Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Excellent attention to detail with high accuracy level
- College Diploma in Human Resources or/and Business is preferred
- Knowledge of local HR legislation and legal implications
