Location Edmonton, AB (9175 – 14 Street) Please note there is no direct access to public transportation.


Hours Monday-Friday; 800am – 430pm (IN OFFICE) (as required might need to work the 730am-400pm shift)


Recruiter/HR Coordinator Functions/Responsibilities


  • Provide a high level of customer service and professionalism to internal and external clients.
  • Assist with administration functions within the HR department.
  • You will provide subject matter expertise in HR policies & strategy through consulting, collaboration – providing advice and guidance to internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor and assist with HR inquiries made by phone and email.
  • Work with hiring managers on strategies to find the right talent at the right time based on the workforce plan and budget.
  • Facilitation of onboarding process and hire-on paperwork.
  • Maintain accurate records and participate in the resolution of problems and concerns.
  • Manages candidate status through the use of our applicant tracking system; ICIMS.
  • Analyze recruitment needs and skill gaps.
  • Provide support in full cycle recruitment including creating and posting job advertisements, sourcing, pre-screening resumes, identifying, reference checking and setting up interviews with prospective candidates.
  • Utilize knowledge of multiple recruiting sources and execute innovative recruiting strategies to find quality candidates.
  • Proactively handle employee relations ensuring to build strong relationships with all employees and leaders.


Recruiter/HR Coordinator Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience


  • Minimum 5+ years of high-volume Construction Recruitment.
  • Experience in a unionized environment; is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge and working understanding on the Employment Standards Code and the Human Rights Act.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Extremely reliable, mature and professional.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Specifically strong in Excel, Outlook and Word)
  • High degree of quality in regards to; attention to detail, organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability and experience working in a faced paced and high-volume environment.
  • Experience with Explorer Contract Manager is an asset.
  • Enrollment in, or completion of, Human Resources or Business Administration certificate, diploma, degree or equivalent experience.
  • Highly resourceful, intuitive and flexible.
  • Experience with ICIMS is an asset.
  • Minimum 2+ years as a HR Coordinator/Generalist.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to keep a high level of confidentiality.
