We are looking for an HR Business Partnering Specialist to join our growing team. You will act as a partner to the business and the HRBP team, working closely with stakeholders in the US and Canada, to provide consultation on all people matters, ensuring that HR processes and procedures can deliver business strategies and growth plans. You will work as part of the HR team within the US and Canada region, building capability and capacity of leaders and managers to embed good people management practices and works closely with HR colleagues in the COEs and other regions to deliver an effective and aligned People function.
Responsibilities
  • Actions to result in high levels of employee engagement and commitment.
  • Ensure delivery of positive employee relations programs and address any employee relations concerns, including conducting investigations.
  • Ensure AVEVA maintains compliance with HR-related laws, regulations, and processes with regard to practices in Canada.
  • Provide onsite HR Support to the Calgary office.
  • Solicit employee insights through employee feedback tools to guide business leaders, processes, and programs that drive employee engagement and retention.
  • Regularly partner with managers and local HR to provide assistance with HR matters and to further the development of a positive company culture.
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • Provide guidance on leave of absence programs.
  • Support contract creation, and visa requests.
  • Assist in providing guidance and information to managers and employees in all areas related to company policies, procedures, and HR legal compliance.
  • Ensure workplace issues are handled effectively and expediently in order to remove barriers to successful job performance and foster a positive work environment.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration or a related field
  • Interpersonal and communication skills and ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • 2+ years of HR experience in a technology organization.
  • Demonstrated project management skills and ability to drive programs independently.
  • Effective problem solver with strong administrative and organizational skills.
  • Experience with coaching at the manager level, focus on performance management, employee relations and data analytics/reporting.
  • Analytical and data management skills with the ability to translate data into action plan.
