Reporting to the Director of Professional Services, the incumbent would work very closely with Horizon’s Professional Services Specialist and be accountable for providing comprehensive services in all aspects of Talent Acquisition, with a focus on strategic sourcing aimed at attracting and building a robust pool of high quality and diverse talent in the technical area. The Technical Talent Sourcing Specialist will be responsible for creating and executing a diverse sourcing strategy, with an emphasis on actively sourcing candidates and engaging diverse candidate pools.
In this role, your key responsibilities will include:
- Implementing appropriate recruitment techniques and sourcing strategies to attract and hire top talent from diverse candidate pool, (Internal ATS, social media/online presence, etc.).
- Leveraging social media (LinkedIn) to source candidates and build networks and relationships for future referrals
- Capturing and reporting on key metrics that show results, trends and opportunities in key talent markets and supported business.
- Working with the Professional Services team and hiring managers to ensure accurate understanding of job requirements and expectations to execute sourcing strategies that would align to Client requests.
- Building strong professional relationships to ensure a steady flow of qualified candidates.
- Researching and recommending marketing, communication and branding strategy to support the talent acquisition agenda (i.e. social media, website development, Outreach/promotion material, etc.) by working closely with the Marketing Department.
- Proactively networking, sourcing and referring qualified candidates to the Professional Services Specialist for consideration.
- Researching best practices for candidate sourcing in the industry and communicating to the recruiting team.
- Utilizes technology (job boards, ATS, etc.) to attract, identify, and communicate with candidates to encourage interest in active postings
- Building applicant sources and implementing creative recruiting strategies to attract qualified professionals by researching social media, internet sites etc. to attract and recruit talent.
Identify opportunities for training and growth.
- Identifying training needs and opportunities for Enterprise Professional Service Department within Horizon Computer Solutions and providing training and guidance for talent acquisition activities i.e. interviewing techniques workshop, skilling up seminars etc.
- Providing professional guidance and recommendations throughout talent acquisition cycle pertaining to best practices, appropriate policies and procedures; ensuring standardization of process and merit-based selection decisions are being made
Qualifications
- Excellent consulting skills, including demonstration of credibility, accessibility and the ability to establish rapport and trust with clients.
- Five years of related progressive work experience with high volume full cycle end to end recruitment, and relevant experience souring candidates within an agency or in-house recruiting team. Experience in unionized or regulatory environments is an asset.
- Experience using creative sourcing methods including internet sourcing techniques, referral management, and passive candidate outreach techniques.
- Three-year college diploma or undergraduate university degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of Collective Agreements and employment-related legislation and a good understanding of organizational structure, its policies, and practices (preferred).
- Experience using social media (Corporate LinkedIn) to source and attract candidates.
