Job Description

Our growing company is currently looking to hire a QC Lead to join our Major Projects team. The ideal candidate will be team-orientated, with experience working on small fast paced projects, and is looking for an office and field work balance. With the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, and initiatives concurrently and is interested in growing personally and professionally with us.


  • Experience in creating turnover packages
  • Reviewing QA/QC turnovers during and at the end of the project to ensure client receives quality package
  • Ensure all Federal, Provincial and local regulations and standards are followed.
  • Responsible for QAQC documents directly associated with the project at hand.
  • Understand and exercise basic circuit fundamentals, alternating current circuit properties, heating and cooling systems, magnetic control and switching circuits, three phase systems, transformers, machines, control and switching/PLC, industrial networking, and applications of electronics.
  • Maintain As-built drawings.
  • Assist/direct in interpreting drawings, circuit diagrams, and electrical code specifications to better help execute electrical installation and troubleshooting.
  • Provide technical assistance and recommendations for proper operations, design and electrical installations.
  • Reviewing IFC documents with estimators to find scope changes from original IFB drawings
  • Comply with the standards and safety procedures of the CDN Controls Health & Safety Manual.
  • Be a team player and established better practices and standards for evaluating projects and ensuring CDN’s Service, Safety, and Reliability are met and or exceeded.
  • Reviewing bid packages, RFIs, drawings, changes, and contracts to ensure project is completed to client specs
  • Assist/direct in interpreting drawings, circuit diagrams, and electrical code specifications to better help execute electrical installation and troubleshooting.
  • Be an active role model in relaying the company culture, safety and core values, supporting Apprentices and other Journeyman.


Qualifications


  • QAQC project and construction experience including experience supporting successful E&I construction projects preferable within the Oil and Gas industry
  • Red Seal Journeyman Electrician
  • Valid H2S, First Aid, AWP, Fallpro, CSTS, and CSO certificates.
  • Experience in creating ITP’S, and turnover packages.
  • Excellent organizational, decision making, problem solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiant computer skills, including Office programs, and Bluebeam software.
  • Experienced in testing & documenting electrical equipment such as; MCC’s, EHT, Transformers, Cables, Motors, ect.
