Eco-Tec Inc., is seeking an HR Business Partner to join our team in Pickering, ON to build relationships and execute on business priorities with teams in our organization, to ultimately create a competitive advantage for the business through strategies that focus on people and culture. This role will support supervisors and individual contributors across diverse disciplines such as Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Commercial/Sales, Technical Services and Product Development. If you have a passion for mentoring others and helping a manufacturing facility achieve sustainable results, this is the opportunity for you.


As an HR Business Partner, you will work as a strategic business partner as well as a key member of the Eco-Tec team. In this position you will have an opportunity to positively impact culture and the team's overall talent position to achieve superior business results.


This role is located in Pickering, ON.


What You Will Do


  • Leverage data driven solutions to support business and advance results
  • Develop business acumen to understand key drivers of business performance and support delivering results
  • Assist in the design and own the execution of talent strategies and business vision
  • Develop, apply, and coach employees on the culture of Principle Based Management
  • Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships of trust and credibility with the workforce and leaders that not only improve business performance, but also the capabilities of the organization
  • Provide guidance to supervisors in areas of change management and employee development through the application of Principle Based Management (PBM)
  • Drive innovation and transformation in HR functions and processes, leveraging data insights to lead to profitable action
  • Identify HR compliance risks and develop gap closure plans to address risks while implementing a systematic approach to maintaining compliance
  • Lead the HR capability for the location


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)


  • Strong desire to contribute
  • Experience establishing and maintaining strong preferred partnerships within a business and/or manufacturing environment
  • Ability to execute strategies in support of business objectives
  • Proven experience within HR related process that includes talent selection, talent planning, performance management, payroll & benefit administration, employee relations and organizational transformation
  • Demonstrated capability to implement change
  • Willingness to embrace and drive transformation


What Will Put You Ahead


  • Demonstrated capability as a HR Business Partner in a manufacturing / engineering environment
  • Foundational knowledge of Ontario employment-related legislation
