HR Coordinator


Reporting to the Vice President, Human Resources the HR Coordinator will be responsible for partnering with the HR team to help manage the administrative and coordination tasks required to ensure the department is well organized.


The HR Coordinator is a strong team player who likes to be challenged with various tasks and projects. The HR Coordinator will provide support to the HR department by managing budgets and financial transactions such as purchase orders and invoicing, selected vendor coordination, coordination of departmental activities including but not limited to meeting coordination, support for various ad hoc departmental projects as required.

What you will do:


  • Ensure all filing on HR drive (and other HR drives) are accurate and kept up to date. Periodically purge non-essential documents in line with legal requirements and audit needs
  • Manage translation submissions
  • Ensure all spends and accruals are aligned with phasing of planned spends month over month and year to date
  • Manage the administration and update of all HR related pages on BayerNet
  • New Vendor setup and purchase order generation in compliance with procurement standards (i.e. Smart Buy), coding and processing of invoices in YourDocs
  • Seek ways to increase efficiencies in human resources department for the betterment of the employee experience
  • Link with global to obtain global copies of Master Service Agreements where services are rendered at local level to ensure Service Level Agreement’s are being met (e.g. LinkedIn, First Advantage, etc.)
  • Work with vendors to obtain copies of contracts or Statement of Work’s needed to setup annual purchase order’s
  • HR department support on all purchase order’s, invoice processing and any outstanding payments
  • Support VP of HR and HR Team in a variety of administrative approaches including but not limited to scheduling, conducting follow up requests, drafting/coordinating communications
  • Track all spends so that aligned with % project completion and billing to achieve 95% accrual accuracy
  • Manage functional aspects of HR budgets
  • Efficient handling of vendor and customer inquiries
  • Partner with other members of the HR team: to provide administrative support and/or help coordinate HR Projects and Program Rollouts, as well as organize key employee activities as required
  • Works with Communications team for all HR communications to employees and leaders including BayerNet articles, announcements, and digital content


Who you are:


  • Assertive self-starter with a strong collaborative nature
  • Strong communicator familiar with digital content (Canva, Yammer, Teams etc.)
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, etc.)
  • University or college degree is an asset
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong bias for action
  • Superior impact and influencing negotiation skills as well as strong interpersonal skills
  • Creative problem solver
  • Agile thinker that thrives on shifting priorities and new challenges
  • Second language an asset but not required
  • Excellent attention to detail
