Job Description
LRDG Language Research Development Group is a leading Canadian language learning platform, based in Montreal, offering a unique blend of tutoring expertise and online community support, for proven, fast results. We have been a recognized partner to the Canadian government for over 20 years and are now looking to grow and expand on what has made our business a success so far.


To support us in that immediate growth, we are looking to hire a Human Resources Administrator to join our HR Team. The individual will support the application of daily human resources management tasks and will work on various elements such as HR systems, group insurance, recruitment activities and employer branding.


Recruitment


  • Assist to obtain security clearance and background checks for all hires and contractors
  • Identify and coordinate recruitment needs of our Montreal office
  • Identify opportunities to improve the employee experience (internal and external), increase hiring efficiency
  • Deliver new hire onboarding and orientation
  • Support recruitment initiatives such as participation in university job fairs and other pro-active recruitment avenues
  • Prepare HR documents, such as employment contracts and new hire guides


People Operations


  • Prepare and maintain employment records related to hiring, transferring, promoting, and terminating by managing the organization’s HRIS
  • Update and communicate company policies
  • Assist the accounting department by providing relevant employee information (e.g., leaves of absence, sick days, and work schedules)
  • Liaise with external partners, such as insurance vendors for employee questions, and ensure legal compliance
  • Create regular reports for various stakeholders and presentations on general HR data and activity to the HRBP (e.g., turnover rates)


Employee Relations


  • Support HRBP in investigating all complaints by employees as necessary
  • Administrative support and solutions on all people related matters including, but not limited to employee relations, performance issues, training and development
  • Help answer any employee queries about HR-related issues


Culture


  • Participate in HR projects (e.g., help organize team-building activities, job fair events, etc.)


Qualifications


  • Strong communication skills in English and French (oral and written)
  • Excellent organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize important projects
  • University degree in Human Resources Management or relevant field
  • Ability to work in a team, attention to detail
  • Fosters a can-do attitude
  • Hands-on experience with HR software, like HRIS (Hibob) and ATS (Lever), is a plus
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • Proven work experience as an HR Administrator, HR Administrative Assistant or relevant role
