VP Finance
Hamilton, ON – Onsite
$165,000-$185,000 base plus bonus and good benefits
Our client is a leading manufacturing company that has consistently doubled in size every three years over the past ten years. They currently have over 100 employees and have recently acquired a business, so sky is the limit. They are looking to hire a VP Finance to work with the CEO and COO and lead the management of financial planning and analysis, accounting, and operational finance.

Responsibilities:
- Support the CEO with respect to any refinancing or capital market opportunities that arise.
- Support and facilitate monthly business reviews, forecast updates, financial analysis and KPI monitoring with functional leaders.
- Ensure continuous development of team members by providing coaching and mentoring.
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of a detailed financial model for the business that can be used for various stakeholders.
- Oversee financial reporting of the monthly/annual financial statement and audit results.
- Support Senior leadership in the development of detailed business cases for capital projects.
- Work closely with senior leadership team in the development and oversight of the annual strategic plan, budget, internal controls, and corresponding subsequent analysis of actual results.
- Identify opportunities for synergies and operating efficiencies as a result of expansion or acquisitions
- Prepare presentations and supporting materials with respect to various financing initiatives and assists with the corresponding due diligence process.
- Provide relevant metrics, actionable insights and recommendations regarding targeted initiatives and results.
- Recruit, provide leadership, direction, and mentor to the finance team; develop performance objectives and deliver performance evaluations for team.
- Lead the process for forecasting liquidity and cash flows of the organization.
- Oversee the coordination of research reports; prepare statistical data, supporting graphics, slide presentations and other collateral materials.
Requirements:
- CPA or CFA required
- Post-secondary education
- Strong relationship and stakeholder management skills
- Team leadership and supervisory experience over a group of accountants
- Hands-on experience working in a manufacturing or capital-intensive industry where costing is important
- Experience with financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for numerous business units
- Advanced computer literacy in MS Office; EXCEL, Powerpoint, and ERP systems
