Job description
In the role of Forest Acquisition Manager, you will play key role in optimizing the return of Inter IKEA Forest assets by allocating funds according to the target risk/return profile and ensuring the acquisition activities are done according to the internal governance requirements and within the approved thresholds.
In this assignment you will:
- Be leading the Identification of potential investments, proactively securing a deal flow pipeline exceeding the portfolio need.
- Lead, coach and develop a high performing team that will strongly contribute to reach the objectives and goals in Inter IKEA; identify and develop talents and ensure succession planning.
- Actively contribute to identifying, defining, and developing the investment strategy, investment theses and investable areas.
- Be responsible to secure investments within approved threshold and when outside the threshold support decision making (formulate investment proposals and recommendations for decision making by the appropriate decision forums).
In your role, you act as an important ambassador of IKEA values and a role-model for fact-based business leadership.

To succeed in this role, you have:
- Strong knowledge of financial theory on valuation, risk/return assessments etc.
- Expert knowledge in Corporate Finance, Mergers & Acquisitions, investment banking and/or strategic consulting preferably within an international and corporate environment.
- Capability to identify and lead delivery of actions delivering to Strategy and supplier landscape long term.
- Expertise in the field of forest and/or agricultural investments, including evaluation of companies engaging in forestry/agribusiness.
You also have:
- Strong self-awareness, adapting your leadership to specific situations and individuals.
- Strong ability to build strong relationships and to influence and challenge in a constructive way.
- Strong ability in stakeholder management
- Ability to lead business with a holistic view. Always act with the Customer, Supplier, total IKEA and Total Cost development in mind.
- Capability to perform business opportunity analysis, risk assessment, scenario planning and draw conclusions to support the right business decisions and implementations.
- Strong coaching skills and ability to unleash the potential in others.
- Capability to create, develop and anchor business cases.
This is a permanent position in Älmhult, Sweden.
