Production Supervisor We are looking for a Dynamic and a well-qualified candidate with experience in Food Manufacturing to join our team in the capacity of Production Supervisor at our facility in Toronto. Definition: The Production Supervisor reports to Production Manager and plans, organizes, directs, and controls the operations of the production department. Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
·Coordinate the daily startup of production machinery.
·Set daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicate them to employees.
·Ensure the safe use of equipment and schedule regular maintenance.
·Coordinating and monitoring cleaning schedules
·Creating and distributing work schedules for the sanitation
·Requests within 24 hours, troubleshooting problem orders.
·Ensure and audit completion of Plant Sanitation Audits follow up with required corrective actions the audits identify.
·Assures Sanitation supply inventory levels are managed to meet targets without impeding plant objects.
·Responsible to ensure all Health and Safety regulations are followed and enforce daily procedures related to the "Lock-Out Tag-Out" Procedures. Also, responsible for applying corrective measures by the Health & Safety Committee following their monthly audits.
·Perform or delegate daily pre-operational inspection of production department.
·Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of a manufacturing establishment or the operations or production department of a manufacturing establishment.
·Ensuring the requirements of production are met customer orders are satisfied and production metrics are met.
·Monitoring and enforcement of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) requirements and BRC requirements.
·Monitoring and enforcement of Health and Safety Policies and procedures
·Utilization and enforcement of the progressive disciplinary process for coaching and development of staff
·Two way and consistent / constant communication with employees to maintain company goals of an exemplary employee relations environment.
·Organization and scheduling of manpower per production schedule requirements
·Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality, where necessary adjust equipment, processes, and formulation to meet expected standards.
·Requisition materials and supplies
·Train staff in job duties, safety procedures and company policy
·Recommend personnel actions such as hiring and promotions.
·Prepare production and other reports.
·Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other departments.
·Hire, supervise and train or oversee training of employees in the use of new equipment or production techniques.
·Develop and implement plans to efficiently use materials, labour, and equipment to meet production targets.
·Plan and implement changes to machinery and equipment, production systems and methods of work.
·Leadership, implementation, and enforcement of all Company policies and procedures
·Making recommendations to management on changes or improvements to processes to achieve greater efficiencies and overall company goals.

·Ability to: o Adjust machine settings as required o Communication and interpersonal skills o Problem-solving skills to Maintain production and quality records to Follow verbal and written instructions in English related to job duties to Work in a team environment with continuous improvement efforts to Acquire new skills as per training provided o Work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors as a Quality Focused, Service Oriented Team Player
·Repetitive tasks & standing for extended periods.
·Handling medium heavy loads (up to 23kg/50 lbs)
·Attention to detail.
·Completion of post-secondary school in a relevant or related field of study
·Completion of post-secondary school in a relevant or related field of study
·5-10 years of experience in supervision
·Experience in Food Manufacturing
·Computer literacy and experience in the Microsoft Office suite: Word, Excel, Outlook
