Job Description

The Law Office of Calvin Goldman, K.C. is a prestigious law firm located in Downtown Toronto, just a short walk away from Toronto City Hall and St. Patrick Station. We are currently seeking an exceptional and detail-oriented Executive Administrative Assistant to provide comprehensive support to the Principal of the firm, Cal Goldman.


Responsibilities: As an Executive Administrative Assistant, you will be responsible for a wide range of essential tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Handling document management tasks such as printing, copying, and scanning.
  • Efficiently monitoring emails, keeping track of deadlines, and managing correspondence that requires responses.
  • Conducting law clerk research for ongoing cases (subject to a separate law clerk billing rate).
  • Arranging travel plans and accommodations.
  • Scheduling and coordinating Zoom calls, meetings, reservations, and other appointments.
  • Providing basic tech troubleshooting and support as needed.
  • Maintaining accurate records of firm expenses and facilitating online purchases for firm-related matters.
  • Assisting in the preparation for calls by printing hard-copy client files and organizing relevant documents.
  • Transcribing dictated emails and composing drafts for communication with clients.


Qualifications: We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Legal or professional services experience is considered an asset
  • Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably in a law firm or legal setting.
  • A diploma or certificate in law clerk studies or office administration is preferred, but not required.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook, email management, and scheduling tools.
  • Basic tech troubleshooting abilities.
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach to work, with the ability to take initiative and solve problems independently.


Schedule and Compensation:

  • The salary for this position ranges from $20.00 to $25.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
  • This is a full-time position with flexible working hours, typically from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM EDT.
  • Paid training will commence the week of July 10, 2023 with in-office training and Zoom sessions. The hired candidate is expected to be full-time by September 2023. The position will be 25% remote.
