We are seeking an Engagement Administrator to join Burkett & Co.’s talented team. The successful candidate will reflect our firm’s core values while providing high level administrative support to all members of our team as well as our clients.The right person will recognize that their role in our firm is vital and has the possibility of growing into something much more.This is a full-time position reporting directly to the Director of Operations.
Responsibilities
•Prepare materials for client meetings, assist with setting up client meetings, debriefs and follow ups
•Review for quality, proof read and verify content before finalizing financial statements and other documentation during client file assembly
•Collaborate with client service staff and team members to enhance and resolve tax return matters
•Identify and communicate document delivery issues in a clear and concise manner with team members
•Handle multiple priorities in an efficient and effective manner in response to a high-pressure deadline driven environment
•Provide exceptional customer service to our existing and new clients both on the phone and by email/mail correspondence
•Initiate lock-down of client information processes and maintain client database, electronic, and paper files
•Maintain and update policy and procedure manuals
•File tax returns, process CRA requests, and prepare correspondence to CRA
Qualifications
•Prior experience in an administrative support role, experience working in an accounting office an asset
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills, prior client-facing experience
•Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
•Ability to work collaboratively with other professionals, as well as independently
•Handle varied roles and responsibilities and meets deadlines
•A high regard for accuracy and attention to detail in fast-paced, high-pressure environment
•Strong work ethic. self-motivated and resourceful
•Ability to troubleshoot basic computer/technical issues
•The ability to work extended hours during busy season (January to April) is required
