Member Engagement Officer Jobs

In this role you will be responsible for developing and maintaining business, membership, and partner relationships to increase organizational growth. You will lead the coordination of financial education events with academic institutions, including but not limited to wellness fairs, school open houses, college days, etc. as they are available. The Member Engagement Officer will maintain SFCU's visibility in select businesses and the community while identifying prospective opportunities. The Member Engagement Officer will foster and maintain relationships with key contacts in existing and potential businesses - primarily through the HR and benefits departments; deepen engagement with workplaces and their employees; and leverage financial education as a brand differentiator and lead generator for new business. Must be self-motivated and eager to escape the corporate culture and work with a successful, innovative team aligning with sfcu's culture and values.
Reporting: This is a Hybrid role. Reporting to the home office at 42 Union Street Sidney when necessary, with remote capability.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Develop and manage relationships with strategic business contacts to deepen relationship with sfcu and acquire new members.
Promote sfcu products and services to members and potential members; assists members with financial needs.
Track, measure, and report outbound sales efforts and sales. Track financial literacy (include location and attendee count).
Collaborate with marketing and Branch Managers to create strategies for our financial education; perform outreach efforts within the communities we serve.
Create/update resources for financial education. Design PowerPoint presentations, handouts, etc. as requested.
Knowledge And Skills
Performs other job-related duties required or assigned.
Experience: Three years to five years of similar or related experience.
Education: (1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.
Interpersonal Skills: Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature. Motivating, influencing, and/or training others is key at this level. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.
Other Skills
Mathematical, analytical, grammatical, basic Word Processing and spreadsheets.
Must be self-motivated. Good communication skills.
Physical Requirements: Ability to get in and out of a vehicle up to 20 times per day.
Work Environment: Must have valid driver's license.
