Director Of Community Engagement - Northside Family Ymca

The Greater Richmond YMCA is currently seeking a highly motivated, energetic, team-oriented professional to help lead community engagement efforts at the Northside Family YMCA.

Duties
The Director of Community Engagement will work closely with the Executive Director to build relationships and programs in the community. Specific responsibilities include leading programming/support within the Northside, in partnership with schools and other organizations. This position will serve on at least one community-focused task force. This position will be the branch volunteer champion and coordinate branch outreach programs, including Bright Beginnings back-to-school readiness program, food drives, blood drives and other community outreach efforts.
Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred
• Strong programming and previous supervisory experience are highly desirable
• Must have two years of experience in community engagement
• Strong computer skills are required, with previous budgeting experience desired
• In order to best serve the needs of our Y members and communities, applicants must be able to work a varied schedule with some evening and weekend work
• Candidates must possess strong organizational abilities and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities and interpersonal skills are required

Salary: $45,000-50,000 per year based on experience and qualifications
