As the Director of Information Technology, you will be responsible for overseeing IT infrastructure and Helpdesk services. Reporting to VP of Technology, this critical role is tailored for an individual who is passionate about enabling business outcomes by delivering modern workplace cloud-first technology services. As a seasoned leader, you will bring exceptional leadership experience to the role, developing and supporting high-performance technical team and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Develop, standardize, and enhance information technology delivery and operations strategies, methodologies, systems, and processes
- Incident management oversight and capabilities
- Create and environment to e ducate technical teams and business users alike about latest platform capabilities
- With your peer group, provide oversight of the organizational change control/approval practice
- Prepare and track budgets, approve and purchase licenses, conduct RFP's when acquiring products or services
- Designs, implements, and tests IT disaster recovery plans across the organization
- Work collaboratively with the Information Security team to ensure that our assets are protected and resilient
- Own the strategy and adoption of internal communication and collaboration tools such as Microsoft 365 Suite, SharePoint and Teams
- Define and implement performance measurements that clearly show quality of service delivery
- Accountable for the oversight, management, maintenance, and continual improvement of IT IL services (service , incident, change and problem management )
- Manage team priorities based on multiple cross-functional project timelines, key portfolio/client needs, and resource loads and capacity
- Responsible for infrastructure operations such as networking, hosting and outsourcing and device management services
- Forge strong relationships with other leaders throughout the organization to fulfill business objectives with solutions that are effective, secure and scalable
- Deliver Modern workplace cloud-first technology services
Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressively senior experience in an enterprise technology environment, including 5+ years of cloud-first experience, and 5+ years leading high-performance technology teams
- Must have service-oriented experience that will enable you to conduct a strong incident, service and project management practice that is based on a well-defined set of rules that are effectively communicated to all required stakeholders.
- Strong leadership skills that fosters an environment of continuous growth and innovation
- Experience with DevOps environments desirable
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related field (MBA is preferred)
- Strong knowledge of technology best practices, processes and methodologies, including detailed knowledge of cloud architectures
- A lifelong learner who is always researching the latest technologies to enhance the organization’s capabilities and improve business outcomes
- Financial operations, procurement practices and budget control
- Prior experience implementing IT Service Management/ITIL methodologies
- Demonstrated capabilities to conduct large scale technology change management, and aptitude for innovation
- Business oriented mindset with a strong understanding of the importance of aligning technology initiative with business goals, measuring service quality, and forging strong relationships with other leaders throughout the organization to fulfill business objectives with solutions that are effective, secure and scalable
