Community Engagement Coordinator

Pay Rate: 20/Hour
Vacancy type: Part-Time Temporary (15 Hours a Week)
We are looking for a Community Engagement Coordinator to join our team.You will be in charge of building and maintaining relationships with new and existing members of our community to increase brand awareness and generate support.
As our Community Engagement Coordinator, you will have to plan and organize events related to our campaigns and important dates for our company. You will assist with creating communications plans and compile reports on their performance. You will use your relationships with local community partners to assist in the management and execution of collaborative projects.
Responsibilities
- Research
- Planning and developing communication strategies
- Identifying and implementing new communication strategies
- Coordinating a team of volunteers
- Collaborating with other departments to execute event schedule
- Compiling communication strategies’ performance reports
- Planning and organizing events
- Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and members of our community
Qualifications
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of current marketing techniques and PR practices
- Proven ability to build trust, encourage community residents to participate in change-making activities in their community
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- 1–2 years of experience in PR-related positions, events promotion
- Post secondary education in Public Relations, Communication, Community Development, Social Work or Education
