Who We Are


The Morris J. Wosk Centre for Dialogue uses dialogue and engagement to facilitate transformative conversations and create real-world impact for society’s most pressing challenges.


We strengthen Canadian democracy by promoting democratic values and innovation, spread best practices by providing dialogue training and tools, and help governments to engage citizens and stakeholders through our consulting services within the Social Enterprise.


The Social Enterprise facilitates demonstration projects for government clients that are in alignment with the Centre’s mission and values. These projects create space for residents, citizens and stakeholders to contribute to government decision-making or advance solutions through collective action.


About The Role


Are you interested in dialogue? Would you like to support inclusive, meaningful and effective engagement with people across the province and country? Do you have experience with event planning and logistics management? Do you enjoy working with people? Are you a whiz on Zoom? If so, the ‘Coordinator, Dialogue and Engagement’ position may be a great fit for you. The Social Enterprise team is looking for an organized, driven, responsible team player. In this dynamic role you will support the delivery of dozens of different public and stakeholder engagement processes, working with diverse clients.


Qualifications


Bachelor's degree in Arts, Business, Communications, Social Sciences or another relevant discipline, with one year of relevant experience in consulting, public policy, planning, project management, communications, public engagement or similar fields, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.


  • Administering and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Coordinating the equitable participation for groups traditionally under-served by government or facing barriers to participation, and assisting in the implementation of participatory engagement processes.
  • Tracking project expenses and project hours and liaising with sub-contractors for any questions related to contracts and invoices.
  • Coordinating event logistics, such as registration, honorariums, audio-visual, finances and catering.
  • Participating in participant outreach and recruitment efforts for specific Social Enterprise projects through: direct communication with participants, social media promotion, and coordinating recruitment emails to prospective participants.
