The Director of Operations is responsible for forecasting, planning and analyzing data as it relates to the retail store network. They will analyze Sales, Cost, & Marketing performance as well as other operational KPI’s. The Director will oversee many of the operational activities of the Operations function including partnering with Retail Leadership, Sales planning, budgeting, analytics and training. The Director of Operations will develop key performance metrics to measure sales activities that drive profitability. The incumbent will partner with Product, Risk and Finance partners to recognize trends in data, refine the operational model, and reduce customer friction during the purchase cycle.


Duties/Responsibilities


  • Providing models and organizing statistical studies for the Sales Department.
  • Work across functions to remove any operation/organizational barriers.
  • Provide weekly perspective on the state of the business and recommendations on how to maximize revenue and profitability.
  • Works closely with sales and finance leadership in providing data for communication and updates.
  • Responsible for directing planning, , budgeting and expense prioritization
  • Manage a team of 2-3 direct reports.
  • Manage and update the sales process, forecasting, pipeline management, KPIs, reports, and dashboards in CRM.
  • Lead and manage the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) efforts (budgeting, forecasting & financial analysis) for the retail network alongside retail leadership.
  • Aide retail leadership with data-based analysis of store performance, and create a plan to enhance renewal and upsell processes – Customer Campaigns, Referral Programs
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to establish financial targets, identify areas of improvement, and drive strategic decision making through comprehensive financial reporting and analysis.
  • Ensures planning, forecasting, and budgeting efforts are appropriately integrated with other corporate planning processes.
  • Develop and implement financial models, tools and processes to support accurate and insightful financial analysis.
  • Coordinating between product and marketing and the Heads of Sales.


Qualifications


EDUCATION


  • An undergraduate degree required; MBA or graduate degree a bonus.


Experience


  • Minimum 3 years’ experience leading operations teams, preferably with a Financial Services company or other decentralized sales operation
  • Experience in marketing is an asset.
  • Experience in start-up or early-stage environments is an asset .
  • Ability to communicate with and build relationships at all levels of the sales team.
  • 5+ years of Operations experience
  • Track record of working and succeeding in a fast-paced, fluid environment

  • Well-versed in project management
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.
