Director Of Enterprise Architecture

LeverageTek's is seeking a Director of Enterprise Architecture for a permanent position with its Ottawa-based customer.

Work Location

The successful candidate will be required to work on-site at the customer headquarters in Ottawa, ON, on a hybrid basis.

Security Requirement

Must be eligible for a Government of Canada Secret II Clearance.

Key Tasks

• Define, socialize, and execute the Enterprise Architecture strategy for The client. This includes current and planned capabilities, flexibility to accommodate changing business needs, and adaptability to respond to industry, regulatory, and market changes
• Establish a well-defined architecture governance model that serves to guide and facilitate the work of the customer's business partners and project stakeholders
• Develop concrete architecture artifacts such as standards, patterns, and guidebooks that provide real-world applicability and value
• Recognizing the scale of this work, develop a multi-year roadmap supporting the maturity of the Enterprise Architecture practice
• Provide dependable and articulate consultancy to the executive team and key internal/external stakeholders
• Implementing key architecture tools and capabilities that foster transparency, persist organizational knowledge, and enable access to the customer's intellectual property
• Define, socialize, and execute the Enterprise Architecture strategy for the customer. This includes current and planned capabilities, flexibility to accommodate changing business needs, and adaptability to respond to industry, regulatory, and market changes
• Establish a brand for architecture as enablers who provide practical and real-world solutions and guidance, not as ivory tower academics

Key Qualifications

• Minimum of ten (10) years experience in a supervisory/managerial role
• Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive, broad experience in Enterprise; Architecture spanning a variety of domains
• Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive IT experience in a broad range of disciplines
• Certification in one or more key architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman etc)

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree or diploma in computer science, software engineering, or related field
• Knowledge of industry tools and organizations supporting Enterprise Architecture
• Demonstrated experience in establishing and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Assets

• Bilingualism (English and French) is considered an asset
