Job Description

In the ever changing world of technology, there is an opportunity for a forward-thinking leader to step into the role of Director of IT. Our client, a prominent online retailer specializing in high-quality auto parts and accessories, is seeking a pivotal individual to spearhead their IT-OT integration efforts. Reporting directly to the CIO, this position entails designing advanced IT systems to drive growth, efficiency, and cybersecurity. Working collaboratively with the CIO and COO, this individual will play a key role in a multi-year IT-OT program, leveraging cloud technology to establish a robust infrastructure.


This is an in-office position. The preferred candidate should be located in Ottawa.


Responsibilities:


  • Efficiently manage a technical team, aligning their tasks with growth goals
  • Effectively manage allocated budgets
  • Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, budgets, and resource allocations for successful completion
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration to align projects with business strategy
  • Ensure IT infrastructure compliance with legal, regulatory, and company standards, prioritizing cybersecurity
  • Lead and oversee IT / OT cybersecurity convergence, achieving program objectives
  • Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders, providing regular project updates
  • Assist the CIO in establishing a robust Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity Program
  • Drive improvements in efficiency, network infrastructure, and cyber risk reduction through project execution
  • Maintain consistent communication with senior management and stakeholders, sharing project progress


Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Preferred certifications in project management and ITIL
  • Extensive background in the online omni-channel retail environment
  • Over a decade of experience overseeing IT/OT-ICS projects
  • Skillful at balancing strategic priorities, risk assessment, and investment decisions
  • Exceptional capabilities in leadership, communication, and stakeholder management
  • Proficiency in managing IT infrastructure, OT systems, and cybersecurity
  • In-depth comprehension of OT-ICS systems, networks, and security principles
  • Proven track record in implementing and supporting NetSuite ERP
