About the Company

Our client is a successful private company in Ontario and US looking to hire a Director of Technology

About the Opportunity

  • Mostly looking for candidates coming from SMB agile environments
  • There may be an ERP implementation project coming up
  • It’s a small team so there are ‘many hats’ to be worn
  • Mostly a Microsoft shop
  • The IT team supports about 450 corporate users
  • The biggest aptitude they need is that the person can not be ‘strategy-only’ type person, need someone very hands-on, someone who is not afraid to get technical and deal with actual infrastructure or look ‘under the covers’ at data or applications/configuration, etc
  • This is a Director position – managing both Infrastructure and Application areas
  • Candidates with M&A experience will be given preference
  • We are looking for a strong leader who is a great communicator, who can lead the team and drive the technology solutions

About You

  • Experience with M&A/Acquisitions is a plus
  • PROVEN experience with application projects (upgrades, implementations, business cases, research, support, requirements gathering, vendor selection/management, deployment, architecture, ERP, BI, etc)
  • PROVEN current hands-on experience with managing IT Infrastructure, cybersecurity, BCP/DR, O365, cloud, etc
  • Strong experience in progressive IT positions – current IT environment management experience – both infrastructure and Applications
  • Ability to commute to Stoufville office 3 days per week
  • IT Strategy, budgeting, roadmapping, risk/compliance experience
  • Great communication skills – reporting to VP of IT and working with the Businesses, need a good listener and good solutioning skills
  • Vendor management and project delivery track record (on time, delivering on promises/expectations)
  • Strong leadership experience (midsize teams)

Salary Range

$150,000/year
