Overview:


Reporting directly to the Vice President – Engineering and Technology, this Senior Leadership Team position will manager a team of professionals to deliver Babcock Canada’s integrated Research and Development, Data Science, and Industrial and Technological Benefits program. This role is also responsible for the Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) function across the business.


In this role, you will:


  • Manage a team of professionals
  • Be responsible for the Data Science Function, including staff development, mentoring, training, and delivery into business.
  • Manage the Industrial and Technological Benefits program for Babcock Canada at the strategic level, including compliant reporting.
  • Ensure the portfolio of Research and Development projects is managed to deliver technology products to the business and marketplace to cost, time, and quality.
  • Be responsible for the Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) function, including, but not limited to Logistics Support Analysis; Reliability, Maintainability and Availability; Configuration Management; Obsolescence Management; Maintenance Engineering.
  • Be responsible for the occupational Health & Safety of all direct reports under your supervision. Safety is our number one priority – Home Safe Everyday.
  • Leverage a network of Small Medium Enterprises to deliver innovative technical solutions for complex asset management through a program of projects.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.


The ideal candidate brings:


  • Have knowledge of Canadian Government Industrial and Technological Benefits program, knowledge of the previous Industrial Regional Benefits program considered an asset.
  • Experience is working in a matrix management environment.
  • Have a minimum of 4 years experience with Integrated Logistics Support, experience in Marine and/or Aviation would be an asset.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, including writing formal reports, and making presentations.
  • Have a proven track record of effective leadership in a diverse and complex multiple stakeholder matrix management environment.
  • Have a minimum of 15 years’ experience supporting management and delivery of technology and/or complex asset management projects.
  • Have a clear understanding of the Data Science function.
  • Demonstrated abilities in budgeting and financial management.
  • Have exceptional communication skills and an aptitude for developing collaborative solutions.
  • Have a minimum of 4 years’ experience managing teams, preferably in a technology development environment.
  • You are eligible for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance.
  • Have a post-secondary education in a Technical or Project Management discipline or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
