Director - Innovation, Technology, Ils, And Itbs

This role can be based in Victoria, BC, Halifax, NS, or Ottawa, ON

In this role, you will:

· Manage a team of professionals

· Be responsible for the occupational Health & Safety of all direct reports under your supervision. Safety is our number one priority – Home Safe Everyday.

· Ensure the portfolio of Research and Development projects is managed to deliver technology products to the business and marketplace to cost, time, and quality.

· Leverage a network of Small Medium Enterprises to deliver innovative technical solutions for complex asset management through a program of projects.

· Manage the Industrial and Technological Benefits program at the strategic level, including compliant reporting.

· Be responsible for the Data Science Function, including staff development, mentoring, training, and delivery into business.

· Be responsible for the Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) function, including, but not limited to Logistics Support Analysis; Reliability, Maintainability and Availability; Configuration Management; Obsolescence Management; Maintenance Engineering.

· Perform other duties as necessary.

The ideal candidate brings:

· Have a post-secondary education in a Technical or Project Management discipline or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

· Have a minimum of 15 years’ experience supporting management and delivery of technology and/or complex asset management projects.

· Have a minimum of 4 years’ experience managing teams, preferably in a technology development environment.

· Have a clear understanding of the Data Science function.

· Have knowledge of Canadian Government Industrial and Technological Benefits program, knowledge of the previous Industrial Regional Benefits program considered an asset.

· Have a minimum of 4 years experience with Integrated Logistics Support, experience in Marine and/or Aviation would be an asset.

· Demonstrated abilities in budgeting and financial management.

· Experience is working in a matrix management environment.

· Superior verbal and written communication skills, including writing formal reports, and making presentations.

· Have a proven track record of effective leadership in a diverse and complex multiple stakeholder matrix management environment.

· Have exceptional communication skills and an aptitude for developing collaborative solutions.

· You are eligible for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance.
