We’re looking for a Director of IT & Digital Transformation who is strategically and tactically focused on leading successful ERP implementations and contributing to the overall development of our ecommerce digital product within the Shopify ecosystem. Working closely with the co-founder and senior leadership, you will manage our existing core IT systems, while also developing and implementing new systems and software to meet the current and future technology needs of the organization including PIMs, CRMs, WMSs, Databases and other business software. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated and experienced leader with a can-do attitude, technical problem-solving skills, advanced project management expertise, and the ability to become the go-to resource for all company technology systems.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor software, licensing and relationships in collaboration with Directors and Executive team
• Understand the company’s goals, and develop efficient strategies and processes accordingly
• Manage relationship with ERP provider and consultant firm while coordinating between project participants and executive team
• Guide the company’s data strategy and infrastructure to ensure its effectiveness and reliability (data storage, architecture, integrity and software recommendations)
• Collaborate with department directors and executive team, proactively making recommendations to improve existing processes and identifying where technology can better support cross-departmental collaboration and core business functions
• Manage the primary IT systems of the business including Office 365 Suite and core business software while contributing to the overall system design, architecture, security, scalability, reliability and performance of the americantall.com and the eCommerce APIs
• Lead the planning and successful implementation of an ERP system to improve efficiencies and allow for continued company growth (gathering requirements across business functions including financial software, WMS, PLM and purchase orders, inventory forecasting, Shopify, and other core departmental software)
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies and determine their potential impact on the business
• Participate in necessary future hiring and manage agency contracts

Experience, Education and Qualifications

• Experience with various company software, or common industry substitutes (Microsoft SQL, Windows, HTML, Office 365, switches, routers, firewalls, VPN, etc.)
• Experience with Web service technologies such as REST, JSON, SOAP, XML, JDBC, MySQL
• 10+ years of experience in IT business applications management with demonstrated success managing a portfolio of enterprise SaaS business systems and platforms
• Good knowledge on the design and development of Restful / Graph QL API’s and working knowledge in databases like Oracle / MS SQL / No-SQLs
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field
• Proven track record leading large-scale end-to-end ERP and other platform implementations(Gathering and documenting business requirements, evaluating vendors, and coordinating cross-departmentally) in a fast-paced environment using agile/scrum or similar methodologies

• Strong understanding of high-level business needs, and how to translate them into IT systems
• Patient and level-headed
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders
• Able to adapt to complex situations and changing needs
• Strong strategic planning and problem-solving skills
• Good familiarity with database design principles, data analytics and visualization tools
• Strong understanding/experience in areas such as networking, security and software development
• High leadership abilities, able to become the go-to person for IT
• Ability to identify and mitigate risks to technology infrastructure and operations to ensure business continuity
