The Director, Advisor Marketing Wealth & Asset Management Canada, will be responsible for leading advisor marketing efforts for the retail investments business in Canada. Reporting to the Head of Retail Marketing, this position will work closely with the distribution and product teams to develop strategies that support the distribution of our investment funds, drive customer value and accelerate sales growth.


Manulife Investment Management’s retail investments business in Canada consists of an $80B+ provider of investment solutions for individual investors and families, primarily through advisors. The investment strategies are offered as mutual funds, exchange-traded funds, and SMAs.


Responsibilities


  • Develop and be responsible for integrated marketing campaigns that generate proven results
  • Leverage all media creatively and optimally to drive business results, including email marketing, A/B testing, social influence, digital advertising channels and website experiences
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships across business areas and collaborate with internal colleagues including product management and internal/external sales management to produce the highest-quality work and ensure alignment of organizational efforts
  • Support the continual refinement of the marketing strategy for advisors and their clients across Canada
  • Direct the development of marketing support collateral for new and existing products and programs, ensuring that materials support business goals and marketing strategies
  • Lead ongoing and existing programs and report on their efficiency relative to competitor activities and current market conditions
  • Empower, encourage and provide leadership for the marketing team through encouraging a collaborative team environment
  • Evaluate campaign success using advanced analytics and adjust tactics as needed
  • Demonstrate and reinforce our Values (Think Big, Own It, Get It Done Together, Share Your Humanity, Customer Obsession and Do the Right Thing), and consistently set an example for the team
  • Lead operational processes to facilitate marketing campaigns such as compliance review, material creation, and quality improvement so they are delivered accurately, on time and within budget


Requirements


  • 7+ years of marketing experience in wealth management
  • University graduate (advanced degree or certification a plus)

  • Knowledge of channel-specific dynamics
  • Marketing innovation and digitization with a solution-oriented approach
  • Solid collaborative leadership experience, both cross-functional and immediate teams with ability to influence direction of work
  • Excellent organization, prioritization, analytic (data-driven), communication, and presentation skills
  • Capacity to work in a fast-paced, often changing environment with comfort using and learning new technologies
  • Passion for wealth management industry with deep knowledge of investment products, financial markets, and the investment industry
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Knowledge of the asset management regulatory environment and guidelines
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing digital marketing campaigns

Salary & Benefits


The annual base salary for this role is listed below.


Primary Location


Toronto, Ontario


Salary range is expected to be between


$100,500.00 CAD - $180,900.00 CAD
