Analyst, Asset Management Jobs

About the Role:

Fitzrovia is seeking to hire an Analyst, Asset Management to join our team. The candidate will work closely with our Asset Management and Investments teams and actively participate in and contribute to all facets of the business including new acquisitions, development, construction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the development and implementation of asset plans on both an operational and capital basis for all properties.
• Assist with the closing process including review of due diligence material and coordination with internal resources and third-party consultants and stakeholders.
• Identify, negotiate and implement new partnerships with symmetrical brands.
• Assist in the preparation of business plans for new business strategies and verticals.
• Complete data-driven analysis to assist in major decision-making including financings, rezoning, design development, construction tendering and lease-up strategy.
• Assist senior leaders as needed with any other portfolio or property level tasks.
• Assist with commercial leasing strategy and execution for retail and office space within the portfolio.
• Assist with the property tax and insurance process, including tax appeals.
• Assess potential investments through the preparation of detailed financial models and market research.
• Evaluate financial and operational performance of the portfolio and implement changes as required.
• Assist with securing construction financing and permanent debt including the preparation of lender packages, valuations, budgets and due diligence materials.
• Provide sound business judgement and implement recommendations on a variety of unstructured tasks.
• Assist in the research and evaluation of new business strategies and verticals.
• Identify and implement value-add opportunities across the portfolio (i.e. unit renovations, energy efficiency, new technologies, etc.).
• Assist with market analysis including evaluation of comparable properties to help establish the leasing and marketing strategy for new assets.
• Work collaboratively with the Construction, Development and Property Management teams to ensure successful launches of new assets including the transition from construction to operations.
• Take an active role in asset valuations including coordinating and reviewing appraisals.
• Assist in the preparation of annual operating budgets and monthly and quarterly reporting.

Qualifications and Experiences:

• Advanced analytical skills with expert working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong work ethic with the flexibility to routinely work outside of core hours as business needs dictate
• Superior organizational skills with a focus on attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and meet time sensitive deadlines
• Experience with real estate asset management is strongly preferred
• Undergraduate or graduate degree in business, finance or a similar field
• Entrepreneurial self-starter with an ability to work independently and synergistically in a lean and horizontal corporate structure
• Excellent and effective written and oral communication and presentation skills
• 1-4 years experience at a real estate private equity company, asset management company, accounting firm or investment bank
• Critical thinker and highly analytical with good judgment
