Job Description
We are looking for a high-performing Senior Project Manager to join our growing team. In this role, you will manage a large transformational Reporting project within our financial client. This program is considered complex and will require you to provide project and program management leadership to your team and stakeholders. You will provide expertise in managing vendor deliverables, integration, data, and reporting. You will be responsible for building relationships between IT, Vendor, & Business stakeholders at all levels of the organization, engender a positive environment and ensure the program is successfully executed.


Responsibilities


  • Develop and manage the detailed schedule, identify early warning indicators, provide direction for early resolution of risks, issues and clear escalation path for program committees
  • Oversees the development of program/project plans, KPIs and metrics (including status reporting), prioritization calls & project communications
  • Build / present for Senior Director & VP level presentations
  • Ensure the completion of risk assessments and the identification & execution of contingency plans
  • Oversees the completion of post-project reviews and closure
  • Effectively manage IT project deliverables on a large Reporting Wealth Program
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners (e.g. Vendors, RBC IT teams, Product)
  • Oversee financials and staffing levels to efficiently meet project delivery requirements and tracks value for effective decision-making


Requirements


  • 10+ years Project Management experience; spanning small projects and large projects ($10MM+) with high level of value (benefit/cost), very high level of complexity and uncertainty, and ability to influence decisions
  • Excellent ability to communicate verbally and in writing
  • Advanced knowledge of change, issue, and risk management and working knowledge of Software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile delivery methodologies
  • Previous experience managing or supporting Wealth Management projects (i.e. PM, Tech Roles, Business Roles, etc)
  • Very high attention to detail
  • Proven experience managing large scale Reporting projects and their integration with applications in a Financial Institution
  • Ability to manage highly visible programs/projects with third party vendors and significant technology components
  • Executive presence and advanced communication, presentation and facilitation skills to drive success


Considered an Asset:


  • Undergraduate degree (preferred) - Preferably in Business, Technology or Financial Services
  • Wealth Management business experience
  • Quadient experience
  • Project/Program Management certifications (e.g. PMP and/or PgMP)
