POSITION OVERVIEW:

Reporting to the AVP, RioCan Living Asset Management, this position will serve as the asset manager to a portfolio of RioCan Living mixed-use and residential properties, assist with reporting to senior management and partners, review the performance of operating properties and development projects and the preparation of budgets, reforecasts, funding requests and other important project documents.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in verifying project information for quarterly REIT reporting.
  • Prepare and review monthly project draws and funding needs prior to transmission to partner.
  • Provide asset management services to a portfolio of mixed-use development and IPP properties inclusive of review and analysis of monthly statements and reports, coordination with property management and leasing teams, and identification/resolution of property issues (e.g. ancillary revenue opportunities, utility management, etc…)
  • Prepare Development Management and Property Management Reports as per Partner Agreement requirements, including coordinating and reviewing the inputs of other RioCan departments.
  • Create memos and other internal communication.
  • Support the AVP, RioCan Living Asset Management with analytical, reporting, research and administrative work.
  • Perform financial analysis on the performance of operating and development opportunities.
  • Support Real Estate Finance for all project lending, underwriting requirements.
  • Set up and coordinate meetings, prepare meeting materials.
  • Review and assist in the preparation of operating budgets, reforecasting and strategic plans for partners.
  • Provide statistics, reports and financial analysis for various departments, including but not limited to residential condominium sales reports.
  • Other duties / projects as required.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Sound analytical skills
  • University or College degree/diploma in Business or Finance
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Access and Outlook
  • Minimum 2 years of previous relevant experience
  • Familiarity with Yardi and JDE
  • Ability to read and interpret complex materials
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven organizational and time management skills
