Job Purpose and Impact

The Crop Inputs Sales Representative (18-month term) will, with guidance, sell directly crop inputs to the consumer (farmers and producers) or business purchaser or indirectly through various sales channels. In this role, you will conduct face to face and remote sales with new and existing customers, assist in evaluating customer needs and suggest appropriate products, services and solutions.

Key Accountabilities

• Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
• Other duties as assigned
• Support business growth by disseminating favorable information about the organization and its products and services.
• Help identify potential customers and handle existing customer relationships.
• With guidance conduct market research and pricing, sales and merchandising activities.
• Protect, grow and diversify the relationship with targeted customers.
• Monitor customer and competitor activity and industry trends.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Possess a valid Canadian Full Class 5 Driver’s License in good standing, authorizing you to drive independently during the course of your employment.
• Minimum of two years of related work experience in the Canadian grain industry, agricultural production or farm management
• Diploma/certificate or bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada

Preferred Qualifications

• CCA certification or ability to gain one
• Knowledge of grain and crop input operations and products
• Experience using customer relationship management software
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
