Job Description
Job Summary
The Coordinator, Event & Multimedia, is a unique role focused on developing memorable fan experiences on behalf of the Ottawa Senators organization. Responsibilities include planning, supporting and executing Community outreach initiatives in the Ottawa Region. The successful candidate will have a can-do attitude, with a passion to create meaningful moments for fans of the Ottawa Senators and residents within the community. This role requires attendance at events outside standard business hours.
Reports to: Director, Marketing
Duration: This is a full-time contract position until September 30, 2023
Main Responsibilities
Street Team
  • Creatively construct lead generation opportunities to engage fans & capture data
  • Be a team player, willing to help where required
  • Manage giveaway inventory ensuring Street Team Brand Ambassadors are set up for success with appropriate swag at each event
  • Schedule Brand Ambassadors for events, while supplying event summaries in advance of executions
  • Be a leader in developing new ideas and activations for the Senators Street Team
  • Lead Senators Street Team, identifying and confirming attendance at key events within the community
  • Support in development and execution of event and marketing programs, including submitting requests, developing copy, receiving approvals and moving projects towards the finish line
Requirements
  • Ability to remain flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Bilingual (English & French) is preferred
  • Positive attitude with ambition to exceed expectations
  • University or college marketing graduate, or related field, event experience considered an asset
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, maintaining a team mentality
  • Must have a valid class G license and access to a vehicle
  • Passionate about the sports and/or entertainment industry
