Job Description
Job Summary


This position takes on the main responsibility to lead and deploy the 50/50 lottery program for the Senators Community Foundation in Ottawa and supervise the 50/50 lottery in Belleville. Beyond spearheading this critical program, the Coordinator will be actively involved in Foundation Signature Events, donor relations and third-party event support. This unique opportunity is suitable for someone who is available to work at all home games, has a high attention to detail administratively, as well as has the skills to be the primary relationship manager for 50/50 sellers and partners.


Main Responsibilities


  • Manage and monitor program progress with the support of analytics and reports.
  • Manage, coordinate, and deploy community requests for donations and gift in kind requests.
  • Work in partnership with the Director of Events on all signature events and Corporate Responsibility nights.
  • Managing and monitoring requests as well as tracking all requests in the database.
  • Identify, evaluate, and solicit third party partners as additional 50/50 partners.
  • Assist in the implementation of personalized cultivation, solicitation and stewardship plans for prospective donors, drafting relevant materials such as briefing memos, meeting materials, and donor correspondence as required by the Foundation.
  • Provide regular and proactive support to part time staff, manage succession planning, and troubleshoot resources challenges.
  • Lead the deployment of the 50/50 lottery program including management of part time staff, AGCO Licensing and working closely with lottery partners.
  • Plan and coordinate 50/50 marketing strategy for in venue and online advertising.
  • Work with community partners to host offsite 50/50 Raffles throughout Ottawa region.
  • Serve as a point of contact for the Foundation team, responding promptly and professionally to internal and external requests.
  • Plan and manage 50/50 Draw Schedule including all draw dates, specialty draws and early bird prizing.


Requirements


  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with colleagues and volunteers
  • 2+ years or more within a fundraising/charitable/not-for profit organization or hockey club
  • Experience running 50/50 programs is a definite asset
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Ability and availability to work during all home games (evenings and weekends)
  • University Degree, College Diploma or a combination of relevant experience
  • Holds a driver’s license and has access to a vehicle
  • Strong computer literacy: MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point), Salesforce, Asana; familiarity with Adobe Photoshop & InDesign an asset
  • Evidence of initiative, diplomacy and creativity
  • Deadline and results-oriented, with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Professionalism, judgement and discretion in dealing with confidential and sensitive matters
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Experience working with diverse communities
  • Ability to work independently and proactively under pressure
  • Excellent relationship building skills
  • Experience in customer service is highly desired
  • Familiarity with the hockey culture and environment
