Job Description

The ideal candidate will have a proven background in video, graphic design, animation, photography, podcasts, and a passion for multimedia storytelling. This is a hybrid position, and the successful candidate will be expected to work a minimum of two days per week in person at Bayshore’s National Service Centre in Mississauga, ON. The Multimedia Coordinator will report to the Manager, Public Relations & Corporate Communications.


Key Responsibilities


  • Develop video scripts, illustrations, logos, slide decks, and other design materials working with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Familiarity uploading to platforms such as Mailchimp, Hootsuite, YouTube, WordPress, and SharePoint.
  • Produce high-quality videos, graphic design, animations, photos, and podcasts following Bayshore’s brand guidelines.
  • Participate in ongoing internal and/or external continuing education activities.
  • Create engaging multimedia content for Bayshore’s internal and external platforms.
  • Contribute to annual strategic planning for National Communications department.
  • Regularly review analytics to see how our content is performing; use data to inform content planning.
  • Collaborate with healthcare system partners on cross-promotional opportunities.
  • Take the lead on producing and editing all audio, video, and graphic design related projects at Bayshore.
  • Help plan and execute in-person and virtual events, including taking photos, shooting video, and preparing other multimedia content as needed.

Education & Experience


  • University or College degree in graphic design, multimedia journalism, animation, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience creating videos, graphic designs, animations, podcasts, and taking photos.


Other Skills And Abilities


  • Ability to multitask, manage competing priorities, work collaboratively with various departments and independently.
  • Excellent communication skills across a variety of platforms.
  • Expert with Adobe Creative Suite programs including Premiere, Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, team player, and willingness to learn.
  • Creative and strategic thinker; always looking for opportunities to enhance the Bayshore brand and increase engagement with content, both internally and externally.
  • Experience working in healthcare communications preferred and general knowledge of the Canadian healthcare landscape.
  • Experience with Content Management Systems and Google Analytics.
  • Familiar with different social media platforms including Twitter, Instagram, Facebook. LinkedIn, and TikTok.
  • Strong storytelling skills with a digital first mindset.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
