Our flourishing and forward thinking client in Ottawa, Ontario is looking to add a dynamic and multi-faceted Controller to their team. Our client is looking for a Controller who has the leadership and analytical skills to help ensure the organization continues to meet and surpass industry needs and assist in their organizations continued success. As the Controller you will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks including but not limited to financial reporting, budget forecasting and preparation, health and benefits administration as well as, supporting, training and supervising a team. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate who enjoys working with others and being hands-on in their work.

This is an on-site permanent opportunity located in Ottawa's west-end and offers bonus incentives.

Responsibilities

• Leading, training and mentoring team members
• Cost Accounting and Cash Flow Management
• Account reconciliations
• Reviewing of general accounting tasks such as payroll, journal entries and accounts receivable
• Insurance, health and benefits administration
• Reviewing current organizational financial processes and developing them to aid in the continued success of the organization
• Budget forecasting and reporting
• Financial reporting, including quarterly, monthly and year-end

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Superior leadership abilities
• Outstanding attention to detail
• CPA Professional designation
• 4+ years of relevant work experience
• Exceptional communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
• Experience using Maestro, Viewpoints or similar software considered an asset
• Strategic thinker, ability to see a future vision for the organization
