Contract Logistics Site Supervisor

We are looking for a Contract Logistics Site Supervisor for our Contract Logistics division/office based in Mississauga.

Your Role

The Site Supervisor, reporting to the Operations Manager is responsible for the safe, high-quality, and productive delivery of 3PL logistics services to our internal and external customers. Main responsibilities for this role include the following and are related to customer relationships, financial accountabilities, and people management.

Your Responsibilities

• In collaboration with Warehouse Manager, keep warehouse supplies stocked and re-order when needed using cost-saving methods when available
• Oversee all warehouse services including receiving, storing, shipping, handling returned/damaged goods, maintenance, and administrative activities to ensure customer requirements are met
• Other responsibilities as may be assigned
• Deal with performance issues and consult with HR / Management guidance for complex issues Warehouse Operations
• Support Warehouse Manager in following financial obligations
• Maintain customer relationships
• Follow programmes implemented to ensure the efficient and cost-effective operation and use of the facility
• Maintain Time and Attendance system for agency and full time staff (Kronos) on a daily basis following procedures
• Comply with all Quality, Health, Safety & Security programmes to ensure the safety of all personnel, equipment and property
• Keep teams up to date with daily operational issues, priorities, etc.
• Help with planning for new customer implementations

Your Skills And Experiences

• Certification(s) in applicable material handling equipment is considered an asset.
• Experience in pharmaceutical or food industry distribution would be beneficial
• Knowledge of multiple production and quality systems ( ISO, Document Control, Lean, TPS, and Six Sigma)
• Diploma/Degree in International Business, Transportation, Logistics, or a related field
• 3+ years experience in Contract Logistics / 3PL / Distribution Centre / Warehouse environment
• 2+ years leadership / management experience with 10-15 direct reports
• Managerial / direct experience with distribution centre processes required (receiving, picking, packing, shipping, returns, value added processing and sub-assembly);
