• Setting and ensuring that tight deadlines are satisfied
• Minimum of 10 years managing low/mid/high rise residential and commercial developments.
• Conduct regular inspections of each individual unit and rectify any deficiencies throughout the construction process.
• Ensuring a high quality of workmanship on the site
• Coordinate with the building inspectors of several municipalities and ensure that everything constructed meets the City’s requirements and that everything on the job site runs smoothly.
• Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or related degree/certifications.
• A high level of coordination with many trades during the construction process and scheduling the trades accordingly
• The “Scope of Works” for several subcontractors will be shared with you. You will be responsible for managing and ensuring that the works are completed according to the scope.
• Working in a team environment and making sure that everyone is on the same page and aware of what needs to be done and by whom
• Being able to interpret Architectural plans with a keen eye to detail
• Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or related degree/certifications
• Review the drawings and specifications as they are being prepared, recommending alternative solutions whenever design details affect construction feasibility or schedules
• Minimum of 10 years experience in a Site Superintendent position.
• Maintaining a high level of safety as outlined by the safety consultant
• Strong communication and coordination skills and abilities.
• Manage on-going construction projects throughout the GTA

Additional Skills

• Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Hands-on construction experience is a must
• Excellent time management and scheduling skills
• Carpentry skills is an asset
• Time management skills, able to prioritize
• A problem-solving approach is a must
• Highly efficient and effective in working in an individual as well as team environment
• Candidate must possess a University/College Degree/Diploma
• Be able to handle a high level of responsibility
