The Opportunity:
We are currently seeking a dynamic and visionary Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our client, the premier provider of full-service factoring services in Canada and the United States. With eight offices strategically located across North America, our client is at the forefront of the industry and is poised for substantial growth. As the CFO, you will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer and assume a crucial role in managing the organization's financial position and driving the implementation of the financial strategy. Working closely with the executive team, you will provide strategic financial advice, evaluate financial plans, and contribute to the company's overall growth strategy.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Forecast capital needs and staffing requirements while identifying appropriate financial resources.
- Coordinate debt and equity financing initiatives to support the organization's growth objectives.
- Translate the strategic and business plans into comprehensive financial planning and operational objectives that align with the company's goals.
- Provide management oversight of day-to-day operational accounting and financial activities, ensuring optimal cash flow management for the business and its clients.
- Develop finance operational strategies by evaluating market trends, establishing key performance indicators, and implementing a customer-service-focused approach.
- Report financial results to the executive leadership team, overseeing the timely dissemination of financial information.
- Contribute to the strategic direction of the organization by providing insightful financial and accounting information, conducting thorough analysis, and making strategic recommendations.
- Monitor financial performance, analyze results, identify variances, and initiate corrective actions to optimize financial outcomes.
- Lead the capital request and budgeting processes, ensuring accurate and comprehensive financial projections.
- Oversee the implementation of strategic business plans and establish operational best practices to ensure efficient and effective financial operations.
What You’ll Need to be Successful:
- Excellent interpersonal skills, coupled with a demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate within a team environment.
- Proven ability to analyze financial data, prepare comprehensive reports, and develop accurate financial projections.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, analysis, cash flow management, investment strategies, and economic development.
- Previous experience within the financial services industry is advantageous.
- BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field; MSc/MBA is a plus
- A minimum of five years of experience in a senior finance role, demonstrating strong leadership and financial acumen.
- CPA is required
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects with varying deliverables and deadlines.
