Support Engineer (1-Year Extendable Contract)

• Location:3 days a week in the Office, 155 Wellington St. W., Toronto

Daily Responsibilities:

Project Name: DevOps and production support for GAM Investment Platforms

Be the L2/L3 support escalation point, troubleshoot incidents, drill down into code level to find out the root cause.

Work with stakeholders to manage problems.

Handle BAU activities and service requests, e.g. Server migration, security review, certificates update, DR, etc.

Solve security scan failures.

What program/technology/software knowledge is essential for this role? Describe in what capacity the selected candidate will be using it?

SQL – Experienced in SQL, be able to debug

Python – Can read and Debug Python codes

Docker – Create docket image and run it in Kubernetes

C# - Can read and debug python codes

Must-have Skills/Experiences and/or Education, certifications, qualifications, designations:

•Post-secondary degree in Computer Science or related technical degree or equivalent experience is required

•Understanding of programming languages preferably Python and C#

•Experience working with databases and writing/debuging SQL

•Experience supporting business critical enterprise application suites

•Experience in working with Windows Server, Linux, Docker containers, cloud

Nice-to-have Skills/Experience and/or Education, certifications, qualifications, designations:

•Knowledge of Openshift and Azure

•Experience in DevOps and SRE
