We are seeking a Business Analyst/SaaS rollout Trainer, for our Western Canadian based client.
CONTRACT TERM: 1 year
START DATE: asap
Working conditions: REMOTE WORK, along with roughly 50% TRAVEL to work on-site at various locations in Western Canada and the US
RESPONSIBILIITES:
- Leverage their training & IT knowledge to ensure an enterprise solution is effectively delivered to the Company’s portfolio & project management stakeholders (users). The BA will be user-focused and engaged in a complex process optimization initiatives ensuring business and system architecture is in alignment with strategic objectives. The BA will work directly with Organizational Change Manager to be a lead trainer and with business units to support, gather and document requirements while representing enterprise interests.
Key Focus:
Training
· Work closely with the Organizational Change Manager and Project Delivery Team to understand, develop and / or refine software and business process training material as required. This includes presentations, resource guides, video content, SharePoint training & learning hub etc.
· Acquire full knowledge of the client’s configuration of an Enterprise Portfolio & Project Management Platform and foundational business processes. This would include learning to use the tool proficiently, understanding dependencies with other systems, understanding key features and changes from prior systems
· Become a subject matter expert resource within the Project Delivery Team who can help support users in understanding and using a new system
· Along with the project team, support an in-person Training & Roll-Out Program to over 1000 users in approximately 25 locations spread out across Western Canada and the US.
· Conduct training for enterprise users on the business process and new system. This includes presentation delivery, software demonstrations, hands-on assistance, and hyper care support post training & roll-out to users
· Understand and troubleshoot issues with users. Be able to explain complex solutions to non-technical business users. Gather and extract any new software development and any new training or communication requirements
Business Analysis
For current and/or future phase of development:
· Provide gap analysis, process mapping and design. Experience in producing visual business process models and architecture diagrams that clearly show the connections and inter-dependencies.
· Demonstrated success with business requirements analysis, group facilitation, gap analysis, process mapping and design as part of a business transformation.
· Work across various business capabilities while depicting relationships between the business outcomes and various system components.
· Facilitate stakeholder training sessions, interviews, and analysis to identify areas for process and systems improvement.
· Responsible for requirements elicitation and analysis for complex business transformation initiatives.
· Prepare Business Requirements Documents, including functional/non-functional requirements.
· Provide gap analysis, process mapping and design. Experience in producing visual business process models and architecture diagrams that clearly show the connections and inter-dependencies between various business capabilities while depicting relationships between the business outcomes and various system components.
· Collaborate in the development and execution of test plans and test cases.
· Interact with the development team to ensure that requirements are correctly understood and implemented.
· Demonstrated success with business requirements analysis, group facilitation, gap analysis, process mapping and design as part of a business transformation.
· Knowledge and experience with large scale multifunctional IT implementation initiatives.
· Demonstrated skill in building consensus among stakeholders.
· Experience with both Agile and Waterfall project delivery methodologies.
· Experience with business intelligence & analytics, data management
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
· Relevant certificate, diploma, degree, or designation program
· 5 years plus of experience in Business Analysis as a part of multifunctional team.
· 1 -2 years’ experience in training and developing software systems training resources. Portfolio & Project Management (PPM) or related project systems would be an asset
· Exceptional communication and facilitation skills
· Strong consultative and relationship development skills
· Sound knowledge and experience in business analysis methodology, project execution and business process management
· Analytical thinking and problem solving
· Detail oriented and committed to a high level of accuracy
· Experience modeling process using various methods and tools
· Familiarity with organizational change methods and practices
Other Requirements:
· Must be a Canadian citizen to be able to travel freely to other locations in the US, for in-person training & roll-out (minimum 50%)
