Job Description
Contract Role. 6 months term, extendable. Rate: $60-80 CAD per hour. Remote within Canada.
Position Overview:
We're seeking a Business Application Administrator to manage and optimize the diverse range of business applications, with a special emphasis on Salesforce CRM. Other systems you will assist with include Netsuite, Zendesk, Bamboo HR, and other essential sales tools such as Salesloft. In this remote-first role, you'll focus on ensuring the seamless connectivity and data flow between these systems, as well as to/from the in-house platform, and and the data warehouse (Databricks).
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Configuration, Maintenance, and Integration
    • Oversee and maintain integrations between Netsuite, Zendesk, Salesloft, Bamboo HR, and Salesforce, ensuring smooth data transfer and system inter-operability.
    • Handle routine administrative functions, from user account maintenance to creating dashboards, workflows, and more.
    • Administer, maintain, and configure platforms like Salesforce CRM, Bamboo HR, and other business tools to align with business processes.
  2. Data Management Integration
    • Prioritize data integrity and consistency across all platforms, resolving data integrity issues promptly.
    • Establish and maintain robust data connections between business applications
    • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure the effective utilization of data within each platform, create in-product reports, and collaborate with the data team on reporting that pulls information from all systems.
  3. Continuous Improvement
    • Stay abreast of the latest trends in business application solutions to drive innovation.
    • Regularly audit and review business applications to recommend and implement improvements and enhancements.
  4. User Support and Training
    • Offer end-user support, ensuring all users can navigate and use applications effectively.
    • Develop, maintain, and share user documentation, guides, FAQs, and best practice resources.
  5. Security and Compliance
    • Uphold data quality through tasks such as merging duplicate records, performing data backups, and archiving outdated data.
    • Establish more granular RBAC settings within each application.
    • Guarantee that all business applications meet company and industry-specific security and compliance standards.
  6. Collaborative Approach
    • This is a remote-first organization, the ability to create written and video documentation and otherwise collaborate remotely (and asynchronously) is required.
    • Collaborate intensively with cross-functional teams, understanding their needs and translating them into system functionalities and requirements.
Qualifications:
  • Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and project management capacities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication competencies.
  • Able to both utilize vendor support (when absolutely necessary) but primarily a self-solver. Able to read product documentation, user forums, to drive problems to resolution.
  • Proven experience in remote work settings with an emphasis on open communication and autonomy.
  • Salesforce Administrator Certification highly preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Salesforce Administration, plus at least 1 year of managing another business application.
  • Proficient in understanding CRM processes and modules, with an emphasis on data connectivity and integration.
