Software Developer - Cities Application Group

The team:

The Cities Application Group focuses on creating solutions for the problems faced in those categories by city agencies such as Transit, Traffic, Law Enforcement and Emergency Services.
What your day will look like:
The software developer will be responsible to develop and assist in developing applications.

• Working from Front-End to Back-End components of the product using just about every major technology in the .NET framework
• Manage time to respect delivery dates
• Participating in everything in the development lifecycle including user experience, design, development, and maintenance
• Building and maintaining fault tolerant architectures that stay responsive and scale in the face of a host of events and user interactions in a hybrid cloud context

About you:

• Knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio
• Possesses strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with PC configuration and troubleshooting with the Windows operating system
• Proficient in verbal and written communication skills in English
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming
• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
• Motivated to work in a fast-paced environment and enjoys the challenge of unfamiliar tasks
• Experience in software development using C#

Great if you have:

• Familiarity with Linux/Unix
• Web programming (Silverlight, ASP.NET)
• Knowledge of React or Angular framework
• Knowledge of Docker
• Knowledge of networking principles and the TCP/IP protocol
• Knowledge of applications used or needed in the city space
