Your mission? To unleash the full potential of our front, middle, and back-office information technology applications and systems. With your exceptional problem-solving abilities and deep understanding of application administration, you will play a vital role in helping our organization achieve its mandates, goals, and business objectives.
As an Application Administrator team member, working as either a part of the Operations or
Delivery team, you will work with your respective area to optimize and improve
operational processes surrounding the applications and server architecture that
supports the business applications.
Responsibilities Include:
- Able to determine the priority of work independently with minimal requirements to escalate and able to provide more estimates on complex pieces of work across Business Technology teams
- Developing, implementing or enhancing operational monitoring processes and procedures
- Monitoring application service platforms and server performance
- Resolving questions and problems, conducts root cause analysis, conducts research into issues and suggests alternative solutions while working with our vendors on more complex issues
- Installing, configuring and maintaining the software on our Delivery and Operation teams support Performing data and application level refreshes
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Is capable of managing multiple, concurrent deadlines and shifting priorities
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Computing Science or related Information Technology disciplines
- Strong knowledge of business process concepts
- Programming or application support applicable to the application or business area (typically 3-5 years)
- Familiarity with basic project management principles
- Demonstrates strong knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, application architectures and Oracle databases
- Demonstrates a strong commitment to AIMCo’s core values of excellence, transparency, humility, integrity and collaboration, and inspires the same in others
- Possession of business knowledge, including investment products and accounting frameworks, rules and guidelines
- 3+ years of strong business acumen and investment industry experience
- Pursuit of technical or business certifications is considered an asset (CPA, CFA, MBA, PMP, etc.)
- Knowledge of intermediate programming and scripting concepts (Python, Power Shell, SQL)
Success Measures:
In the first year, the Application Administrator will have worked with the application users, project team members and other Business Technology team members on all areas related to the application or functional area with minimal guidance or supervision required. They will understand the system and its business purpose, the architecture and where the application or functional area fits within the organization’s lifecycle, key workflows related to the application, AIMCo’s pools and organizational structure.
