Position Description
If you are a creative and driven Corporate Trainer bringing experience in instructional design and a passion for facilitating enriching learning experiences, we would love to have you on our team!
You will be joining a team that is building and delivering training for our Ensemble Members. Our ambition is to support our membership by providing industry-leading tools that will enable their agents to deeply connect with their clients and spend less time researching and booking.
Reporting to the Senior Director, Training & Development, the Corporate Trainer will be responsible for creating engaging Certification training and designing our gamification approach. Experience working with Subject Matter Experts to create engaging content is essential for the successful applicant. You will also support Ensemble’s Training Manager by facilitating training sessions to our membership, in both virtual and live settings. Past experience facilitating with large and mixed audiences will be key for the successful candidate.
As we migrate to a new LMS, you will also work closely with our Learning Program Manager to smoothly move our members to a new learning platform. Experience with LMS platforms is key for this role.
Key Accountabilities
- Supports the creation of conference training content (Certification, Communities, Ensemble programs).
- Provides support with the creation of collateral (e.g. PPT decks, project plans), as requested.
- Incorporates exercises that will enhance the learning process (90% virtual, 10% live).
- Defines learning outcomes that will fulfill audience needs.
- Applies tested instructional design theories, practices, and methods.
- Maintains project documentation and course folders.
- Creates program evaluation criteria (NPS) to apply to all Ensemble Training materials.
- Creates compelling learning content, with a focus on Ensemble’s Certification programming (using various platforms (Articulate RISE, Camtasia, Kahoot, and Microsoft Office Suite).
Key competencies
- Experience creating and delivering training, both via webinars and in-person (or a passion for learning how!).
- A proactive approach to problems and issues, working ahead of potential "glitches".
- Ability to engage audiences of various sizes, both via virtual and live delivery.
- Experience creating online learning modules (or a passion for learning how!).
- Demonstrated comfort with technology and a willingness to self-study where required.
- Passion for customer service with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent teamwork and team-building skills.
- Excellent organization, planning, and prioritization skills.
- Must be process driven, possess strong communication skills, careful attention to detail, and have a solid understanding of client relationships.
Experience and Education
- Experience in the travel industry an asset.
- A Degree in a related field is an asset.
- A combination of education and/or work suitable working experience.
