We are currently looking for a Bilingual (French/English) Area Sales Manager, Montreal/Maritimes
As a results-driven influencer and relationship builder, you will drive Audi Brand sales, customer satisfaction, loyalty and profitability objectives the for area’s retail business. Your consultative and professional approach will be critical in raising overall dealer performance levels to drive consistency amongst dealers.
In this home-office based role, reporting to the National Manager, Sales Field Operations, you will be the face of Audi Canada within a portion of Montreal and the Maritimes Region responsible for implementation of national and regional programs and processes as well as development of short and long-term business plans with dealers.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage Area marketing and administration budget.
- Initiates appropriate analysis to determine individual Dealer sales performance in respective primary area of influence and is also responsible and accountable for addressing any shortcomings by implementing dealer development initiatives.
- Implements national and regional sales programs and processes to deliver on sales objectives.
- Provide Audi Canada corporate with market knowledge and competitive actions for use in building incentive programs.
- Responsible and accountable for implementation of business plans to include both short and long term strategy to address any dealership operation shortcoming.
- Create area's sales and marketing strategy for vehicle sales and certified pre-owned.
- Establish and implement action plans to achieve desired objectives.
- Manage and coordinate the efforts of multi marketing dealer advertising groups to increase Audi presence in market while maintaining budgets.
- Provide input into regional dealer network development plan; execute final plan in area.
- Develop 1- and 5-year business plans with dealers and monitor implementation.
- Develop short-term performance improvement action plans with dealers and monitor implementation.
- Directs and leads all process improvements to deliver a high degree of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Collaborate with Area After Sales Manager to ensure complete 360 approach within the region of responsibility.
- Development and implementation of effective tactical support programs/contests to achieve desired sales objectives.
- Advise dealers on how to improve performance on scorecard metrics.
- Responsible for effective pipeline inventory management including monthly production allocation coverage.
- Responsible for accurate sales forecasting and timely market intelligence.
- Assists Dealer’s with personnel planning for their new and used sales departments.
What we’re asking for:
- Flexibility for regular travel (roughly 75%) throughout assigned region; monthly trips to corporate office in Ajax, Ontario; annual trip to Europe and/or the USA.
- Strong market knowledge, strategic orientation, and change management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field and/or equivalent relevant work experience. Master’s degree is considered an asset.
- A competitive, passionate and progressive approach with proven ability to be an effective business partner, leader, and collaborator.
- Strong written and verbal communication in French and English is a requirement.
- 3+ years automotive industry sales experience.
- Strong time management and computer skills.
- Proven success in partnering at all levels of the organization, with ability to negotiate and influence to achieve results
