Assistant Brand Manager - Innovation (Contract)

SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Director of Innovation, the Associate Brand Manager – Innovation (contract) will be responsible for leading the development of new innovation concepts, driving collaboration across functional teams, and for championing new projects through the system to meet milestones and KPIs. The successful candidate will be a proven project leader who is also capable of leading teams to execute innovation launches & commercialization activities.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Frequently communicates opportunities and risks to all areas of organization
• Exhibit leadership and accountability; exhibit the ability to move a team towards a common goal through a respectful, collaborative approach
• Able to translate trends & insights into actionable recommendations for product solutions
• Collaborate cross-functionally to develop business cases for new innovation ideas and charter new projects within the organization
• Understands brand equity and positioning relative to competitive set & applies insights and understanding to new product plans
• Very strong business communications skills, ability to influence and detail orientation
• Write effective innovation concepts by identifying and applying consumers and category trends and insights that are relevant to business & that lead to new products or changes to existing products that can scale multiple channels
• Act as key innovation touchpoint and project lead through the development & commercialization of innovation projects.
• Write exceptional product briefs in collaboration with R&D
• Understands and clearly communicates target consumer insight, attitudes, beliefs

What Will Make You Successful in This Role:

• Minimum 1.5 Years experience as an Assistant Brand Manager on a nationally-listed Brand, preferably in the food industry
• A natural leader who is self-driven and adaptable, with a can-do attitude
• Proficient in data analysis and use of Microsoft Excel. Experience with IRI, Nielsen, or SPINS
• P&L experience a must
• Excellent written communication skills; you can succinctly & accurately capture a consumer insight or new product idea in 1 sentence.
• Experienced leading new commercial product launches, meeting launch milestones and KPIs
• Strong influencer and skillful collaborator among peers
