A day in the life
The Impact Engagement Manager is a key contributor to the development, project management and integrated execution of employee engagement within the lululemon Centre for Social Impact. Specifically, this role drives companywide engagement with the lululemon Impact Agenda via our Impact Engagement platform, Deed. Working closely with fellow Centre program managers and key cross functional partners, this role is critical to shaping a culture of impact across lululemon. The Impact Engagement Manager is part of a high growth impact team, developing and stewarding best-in-class global impact engagement programs.
Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the global and regional execution of Deed campaigns, fundraisers, events, reports, SOPs and operations. Regularly consult with EMEA, APAC, and China community and engagement leads to support ongoing considerations of global relevance and requirements of engagement offerings, comms, and the Deed platform, collaborating on solutions. Work collaboratively with crisis response teams to utilize Deed in support of communities in crisis.
  • Coordinate with Centre for Social Impact program management peers to steward relationships with relevant non-profit organizations and institutional partners.
  • Collaborate with Program Manager Social Impact Engagement and Innovation to establish an intentional ecosystem of Impact Leadership opportunities, including Fellowship and Community Volunteering.
  • Collaborate with communications partners to ensure impact and the related employee engagement opportunities are shared across all internal channels including Youlu, Culture Core, Retail Training, Staff Meetings.
  • Partner with Centre for Social Impact team, and other sustainability leaders, to monitor and evaluate strategy and partnerships against KPIs and metrics.
  • Manage the design and development of foundational impact employee engagement offerings through Deed, including individual volunteerism, actions, donations, matching, and seeding.
  • Serve as key relationship holder with our platform provider, Deed, working closely with Deed’s Partner Success manager to communicate feedback, troubleshoot, develop solutions, and navigate contracts.
  • Partner with critical internal functions including people and culture, retail operations, and communications to drive program development, engagement, simplicity, transparency and a purpose-driven mindset.   • Working within the lululemon Centre for Social Impact and collaborating across the Sustainable Business and Impact Function, contribute to the strategy and execution of the impact engagement workstream, evolving a culture of impact at lululemon that aligns with the company’s Impact Agenda.
  • Support management of engagement programs to ensure a compelling employee experience and partner experience, gathering feedback to ensure we are evaluating and evolving impact programs that support the employees.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in social impact, corporate innovation or related field
  • Corporate experience within people development and/or sustainability/social impact
  • 6+ years of experience in brand and retail, non-profit management, community-based work, diversity and/or corporate social responsibility
  • 6+ years' experience managing external partner and consulting relationships
Required Skills
  • Demonstrated program development and execution
  • Strong computer skills and attention to detail, demonstrated proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
  • Able to work cross-functionally with different departments and at different levels within a matrixed organization
  • Strong project management experience and outcome orientation
  • Proven experience and passion for developing people, teams, and leaders while driving an inclusive, performance-driven culture at scale
  • Experience working with cross-functional partners to execute strategies
  • Excellent communication skills - interpersonal, written and verbal – can navigate challenging conversations while being a steward of the lululemon brand and culture
  • Knowledge of and/or experience with employee engagement practices, ideally within a global organization
  • Experience with various cultures and people from all different walks of life
