What You Will Do
Customer Service

• Communicate daily system information to shippers through online notice posting and a variety of personal communication tools.
• Negotiate with shippers regarding the management of their daily account management and inventory imbalance corrections, drawing on knowledge of shipper business, pipeline operations, policies and procedures.
• Resolve issues through application of standard procedures, recommended modifications, and innovative ways developed from experience with previous assignments.

Gas Process Management

• Evaluate system gas events, and propose remedial action based on comprehensive analysis of contributing factors.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders from gas control, measurement, commercial, IT and other areas of expertise to ensure seamless coordination of daily pipeline business activity.
• Manage system gas accounts, including fuel gas, swing gas, and pipeline operational accounts; provide analysis of gas usage, and propose adjustments to maintain pipeline system balance.

Other Responsibilities

• Recommend system improvements, and test design changes to ensure seamless implementation.
• Ensure outages are on track as posted, identify and resolves outage scheduling issues, escalate challenges where required.
• Provide back up support to Gas Scheduling.
• Provide support for special projects and perform other responsibilities.

Who You Are

• Previous commercial operations experience would be a considerable asset.
• 5+ years of proven experience in a related field with broad business knowledge within the oil & gas industry.
• Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline, or equivalent combination of education & experience is preferred.
• Understanding of natural gas markets would be considered an asset.
• Knowledge of the Westcoast pipeline system would be valuable.
