Boomi is looking for a VP of Global Market Intelligence. Reporting to the CMO you will lead the market intelligence team to develop and execute the competitive strategies and enablement for the business globally. You will also work closely with Boomi leadership to ensure competitive insights are incorporated into company decision-making. This is a fast-paced, high-impact role that touches virtually all aspects of the business and will influence global strategy across sales, marketing, product, customer success, etc.
What the day-to-day looks like:
  • Enable our field teams with global competitive training programs, self-serve competitive assets (internal and external facing), and high-touch competitive deal support (present to prospects/customers if needed).
  • Work closely with the AR function to ensure strong competitive positioning and incorporate analyst feedback into sales, marketing and product strategies.
  • Generate competitive and global market insights for the business. Establish a regular cadence of executive, GTM, and product team updates to ensure competitive insights are a key input into decision-making and planning.
  • Develop a data-driven understanding of competitive sales impact and win/loss metrics
  • Work with sales and pricing stakeholders to validate that current approaches provide highly competitive options versus peer competitors.
  • Establish the future vision and focus areas for the competitive team. Define the high-level metrics the competitive team will influence.
  • Develop and execute global competitive strategies (e.g., sales plays, messaging/positioning) to boost win rates against the competition.
  • Build strong relationships with GTM (Sales, Success, Marketing) and product leaders and represent the voice of the competitive team.
  • Develop and manage the global competitive intelligence function and team.
Requirements:
  • Experience building, leading, and developing a growing team
  • Experience working in a global organization
  • Experience driving strategic programs across the business and building consensus across a wide range of team members
  • Data-driven approach. Able to synthesize large amounts of data from many inputs into insights
  • Experience working in the B2B and/or Enterprise software space
  • Willingness to travel as required
  • Excellent written, verbal, and storytelling skills. Comfortable and experienced in presenting to an executive audience
  • 15+ years of Competitive Intelligence, Product Marketing, and/or similar relevant experience
Nice to haves:
  • A strong understanding of SaaS and/or PaaS (definition, value props, etc.)
  • Familiarity with strategic narrative development
  • Working within the CRM/Customer Engagement space (Customer Service, Salesforce Automation, Marketing Automation)
  • Track record of driving successful sales plays / programs
