What You Will Be Doing
The VP Exploration is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of exploration activities for a junior exploration mining site located in Quebec, Canada. The role is critical in ensuring the successful exploration and development of the site by providing technical leadership, managing exploration programs, and overseeing the exploration team.

• Conduct detailed geological analysis, including mapping and drilling programs, to identify potential mineral resources and reserves.
• Provide technical leadership and expertise to the exploration team, ensuring all exploration activities are conducted safely and effectively.
• Communicate exploration results to senior management and other stakeholders to inform decision-making processes related to future exploration, development, and mining operations.
• Lead and manage all exploration activities for the site, including the design and implementation of exploration programs, data collection, and interpretation of exploration results.
• Participate in the development of short and long-term exploration plans, including the identification of new exploration targets and the evaluation of potential acquisitions and joint ventures.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices.
• Manage the exploration budget and ensure that all expenditures are consistent with the approved budget and business plan.

What You Bring To The Table

• Ability to work independently and lead a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Must be bilingual in French & English
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Geology or a related field.
• Must be accredited by Ordre des géologues du Québec
• 10 years + of experience in exploration
• Strong knowledge of exploration techniques.
• Experience in developing and maintaining relationships with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
• Knowledge of relevant mining regulations and best practices.
• Experience managing a team
• Experience in managing exploration programs from design to execution, including budget management.
• Excellent communication skills
